Dinner at "The Club"

My friend John and his family belong to a country club, and once a year John invites his friends out to dinner there. (How awesome is John? Pretty awesome.)

Rob and I got there early, so we walked around the grounds and took pictures.

Dinner was awesome. We had an appetizer of fried calamari (the table split it) to start, and I had a salad with Thousand Island dressing (my favorite), fillet mignon with mashed potatoes and vegetables, and chocolate creme brule. I also had a rum and coke and two glasses of wine. Whew!

As a side note, I was the ONLY woman at dinner. At the table was Rob, John, his two roommates (both named Kevin), and his friend James. I'm not complaining; I'm just sayin' that I feel like I'm ALWAYS surrounded by men. My office is predominately male, I spend more time with Rob than anyone else, and I talk to my guy friends more regularly than I talk to my female ones. It's a wonder I haven't grown a ...
