So I Got a New Job ...

I got a new job! I start Monday, April 23. It is an editor position at a publishing house. I will be editing their book content to create articles for their partner Web site. AND, the new place is only 20 minutes from my apartment! (My current commute can take up to an hour and a half on the way home.) I am excited!

I put in my resignation this week. My boss was totally cool about it -- very supportive and happy for me. As happy as I am about my new position, I will definitely miss the people with whom I work now. They're really a great bunch (minus the other editor, but I won't get into all that).

I wonder how I'll like the new place?

That's fantastic - good luck with the new position! I've been with the same company forever - I think I'm too chicken to look for something else, but I've been here so long and I really like it a lot.

That is wonderful news! You're going to feel like a totally new woman now that your commute is so much shorter. Also, I'm jealous. I've always wanted to work in publishing. Best of luck!

Thank you! :) I've already been thinking of ways to use all the time I'm going to save by NOT sitting in traffic.

And I am jealous of you! You live near Boston! Hopefully I will someday ...
