My good friend Katie is a curator for a local historical society, and she helped put together a show on vintage wedding dresses. Sunday was the opening and I attended. It was neat to see the work she'd done. (And she wore a bridesmaid's dress from her cousin's wedding. Isn't she cute?)
I know I've mentioned the band Catfight before. Well, they used to have this really awesome guitarist named Rose, who left Catfight to join this other band called Dot Dot Dot. This past weekend, Dot Dot Dot played the Belmont street fest. Oh, and apparently they were on the T.V. show Next Great American Band recently:

Afterwards, we went to eat at Hamburger Mary's (decent, though no Boston Blackie's, aka Best Hamburger Joint in Chicago according to Yours Truly), where our receipt was served in a shoe:
