These are some of the pictures I took when Rob and I went hiking in Kettle Moraine, WI this fall ... I think it was October or November. Sigh. So pretty. Kettle Moraine is one of the nicest places I've ever hiked.
Hard to believe autumn is so far away. 2008 is already kicking me in the pants. I was laid off at the end of December (the entire department was dissolved) so I am currently job hunting. Please send positive thoughts my way.

For Labor Day weekend, Rob and I went to Door County, WI. Neither of us had been there before. On Friday (which I had off) I met Rob at his office and his co-workers stared at me like I was a zoo animal. Haha -- it was cute; they were all very eager to meet me. Anyway, we headed to Sturgeon Bay that night and stayed at a Best Western. On Saturday, we left to go to Sister Bay, stopping along the way to hike at Peninsula State Park (see the top two photos). We ate an AWESOME lunch at Chef's Hat Cafe in Egg Harbor, then hiked some more. After that, we checked into Pheasent Park Inn, a REALLY nice rental condo place. Our room had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fireplace and a large balcony! Nice. We spent Sunday and Monday shopping at the little shops in the little towns in Door County. Oh, the goat picture was taken at Al Johnson's, a famous Swedish restaurant in Sister Bay (we did not eat there, just snapped pictures of the goats).
